Call Commercial AC Specialists for a New Installation

When you’re in the market for a new commercial air conditioning system, you cannot call just anyone. As you very well know, the equipment used for commercial air conditioning and heating is much, much larger than the equipment used for residential heating and cooling. But the differences go well beyond this.

System Components

A commercial specialist is more familiar with the commercial AC and heating system components and where to find them. This is harder than it may sound, as the parts might not be located in the same places as they are in a standard central AC system.

Commercial units are often packaged units with all of the heating and cooling components combined in a single cabinet. And since the cabinet is rather large, it would take a while for an inexperienced residential air conditioning technician to locate the parts quickly enough to make any adjustments necessary to complete the installation.

Sizing

Sizing a commercial air conditioning system is rather different from sizing a conventional central air conditioning system for a home. It’s a lot harder to take into account the carious zoning needs of a large commercial building, and improper sizing can make a system run inefficiently and potentially shut down before it typically would.

Temperature and Zoning Controls

The control system for a large commercial HVAC system tends to be a lot more complex than the zoning and control systems for a traditional home air conditioner. Balancing airflow throughout a commercial building is tough, and it’s something you really want to leave to an experienced professional only. Otherwise, you might end up with hot or cold spots around the building, drafts, and other uncomfortable climate issues that lead to complaints from staff and/or residents.
